TeenSHARP student Josh (a rising sophomore at William Penn High School in Colonial School District) recently learned that he was accepted into the Summer Music Technology (SMT) program at Drexel University!
The week-long SMT program at Drexel is an innovative educational experience for high school students. The goal of SMT is to introduce students to the technology of digital music to reveal the influence and importance of engineering, science, and mathematics in music performance, recording, and listening.
The program is led by Drexel professor Dr. Youngmoo Kim and Ph.D., undergraduate and high school students working in Kim’s Music and Entertainment Technology Laboratory (MET-Lab) for the summer act as instructors.
